Experience
Dr. Stevens is a technical lead on the AMP project,
which is a distributed integration platform for U.S.
TRANSCOM transportation simulations and models (since
2001).
Dr. Stevens worked on the NetFOCI project, which was
a seedling effort with DARPA ATO to assess the impact
of policy to manage ad-hoc network behaviors.
Dr. Stevens worked on the analysis and development
of the genetic algorithm scheduler for the Unit Level
Planning and Scheduling (ULPS) project.
As an Assistant Professor at WPI, Dr. Stevens (formerly
Dr. Rana), taught undergraduate and graduate level Compilers
courses.
While working on her graduate degrees, Dr. Stevens
was an Instructor at CSU for two courses: Introduction
to Programming with C++, and Data Structures in Java.
As a research assistant and fellowship student, her
responsibilities included:
- Developing algorithms and heuristics for a warehouse
scheduler for filling orders at the Coors Brewery
in Golden, Colorado.
- Applying genetic algorithm search techniques to
optimize the use of resources at a pulp mill for Noranda
Corporation.
- Developing algorithms to solve several seismic data
processing problems for Advance Geophysical.
